Don’t Worry

Do not be anxious [do not worry] about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6)

I must admit, I sometimes worry. I may not always show the worry, but it is there. That nagging feeling deep within myself questioning if things will be alright, if things will go smoothly.  I sometimes forget the words of Paul in Philippians. I forget that the Bible commands us not to worry about anything, but instead we are to bring our anxieties to God by prayer and petition.  But sometimes I do not do that. Sometimes, I try and do it myself instead of relying on God.

If we as people of God would just rely on Him and bring everything to God that we are anxious about, then we would know His provision (even if it was not in the way you expect) and we would know better the peace that comes from God. Our prayers do not twist the arm of God, but they align us up with His perfect will.

So, what are you worrying about? What is laying heavily on your mind and heart? Bring it to God, ask friends to join you in prayer, then you will know the PERFECT PEACE of Jesus.
