Let’s give Him glory

Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. (Jude 1:24-25)

Jude ends his letter the way we should live our lives, acknowledging the fact that God deserves all the praise and the glory in our lives. The funny thing is though, that we often times like to get some of the glory too. We generally like to promote our own interests and show ourselves as being ‘the guy’ (or girl) that has it together. In all honesty, the moment we become self reliant to the point that we forget God in our lives, is the moment we fail spiritually. It is important that Jude emphasizes the fact that it is God that is able to keep us from falling away. It is not our self will, it is not our mastery over our bodies, but our success in staying pure draws a direct correlation to the amount of time we spend with the master.

So, in the interest of growing spiritually, take some time today, turn off all the distractions and walk with Jesus. Trust me, you will not regret it.
