One of the Greatest Days in all of History

Today we celebrate what I would call one of the greatest days in all of history. It is the day that Jesus was crucified for us. It was the day that he paid the debt that I owe (and you owe as well). He paid the debt that you and I had no possible way to pay.

So today as we celebrate ‘Good Friday’ let us remember that it is about Jesus making amends with the Father on our behalf. It is about now being allowed into the presence of God and that the penalty that we should have paid has been forgiven, because Jesus paid that penalty.

You may not have asked Jesus to die for you, but He did. You may not care about Jesus, but He cares about you. Romans 5:8 says it best when Paul says this,

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

AMAZING. He did not wait for us to come half way. He did not make us prove our worth to Him. He did not require us to clean up. He did it because He LOVES us. Celebrate this day as a day that God showed His love for you
