Cleaning out the inside

John 2:13-17 shows a rather startling scene. Jesus the ‘meek’ the ‘mild’ forming a whip and driving out the people who were defiling the temple. While we could look at the actual event and discuss the temple and the reaction of the religious establishment, I think it would be a good idea to explore a spiritual parallel in our lives. That parallel is that God will not share His temple with anyone or anything.

The New Testament declares that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. With that in mind, we need to ensure that our lives are not cluttered with things that ruin us for His use. Are our lives somehow spiritually cluttered and defiled? Perhaps we need to petition Jesus to clear out our temple like He cleaned out the ancient temple so many years ago.

I know a good cleaning would do wonders for my life. How about yours?

PRAYER REQUEST: Please remember to pray for a 19 year old man  with the initials T.M. ,  he was hit by a car Sunday and had brain surgery. Last I heard, he was unresponsive. Please Pray
